1. Kitchen Safety Make sure you give full attention during cooking, never leave cooking unattended. Ensure your kitchen areas to be always clean and uncluttered. Don't cook when you are tired or sleepy. |

8. Routine Testing of Smoke Detector. Check and test your smoke detector. Replace its batteries once a year or when an alarm "chirps" shown that the batteries are week. Replace the smoke detector after 10 years. If possible, get the portable one. | |
9. Escape Plan Draw a home fire escape plan so that everyone in your household knows what to do during fire. | |
10. Crawl Under Smoke the correct way to escape under smoke is to crawl on your hands and knees and keep your head 30-60cm above the floor. | |
